Attack of the Bees!

We had a great holiday weekend! We gathered for a picnic with friends and the kids on Sunday and had a really nice time but the bees were determined to get the best of us. We spent a good amount of the time fighting for territory. Someone would get smacked unexpectedly while trying to eat some KFC but it was meant with the best of intentions. The kids rode their bikes and played with branches and ate lots of junk. I wouldn't be surprised if, in the process, someone actually ate a bee or two. I think our neighboring picnicers thought we were nuts the way we went at those bees. But we had fun and that's all that counts!

A Day At The Beach

We had the most amazing day at the beach today. The sun was shining and the water was amazing. What a great time! The kids fully enjoyed the day. The only issue we had were those damned biting flies. They were everywhere today. Other than that we had no complaints. Even the trip back and forth was effortless.

I can check "go to the beach" off my to-do list.

On Vacation

I'm on vacation this week. We have all kinds of plans for the week including a trip to the museum. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. I've been waiting on this time off for a long time. I don't plan on exhausting myself though. Relaxing would be good. Talk to you all throughout the week.
